Problem:
Spotfire Web Player and Automation Services service configuration locations
The Spotfire Web Player and Automation Services service configurations are the central configurations which define the settings used for the Web Player and Automation Services services such as logging level, caching options, user interface elements, etc. This article describes where these configurations are stored. The service configuration files are stored centrally in the Spotfire Server application database (in the SERVICE_CONFIGS table).
To make any modifications to these configurations, these should be made on this central configuration that is stored on the TIBCO Spotfire Server. For instructions on how to do this see the Manually editing the service configuration files reference.
Additionally, when the instances start on the Node Manager, they will download a local copy of the service configuration files which will be found here:
- <installation directory>\tibco\tsnm\[version number]\nm\services\WebWorker-XXXX
These local configuration files should NOT be edited manually since they will be over-written any time the service is restarted and any changes made here will be lost. It can be useful to reference these to verify the exact configurations that the service/instance is currently using.
