Spotfire Server: Node Manager starts up but shuts down immediately

Spotfire Node Manager starts up but shuts down immediately

Although Spotfire Server and Node Manager services start up, the Node manager shuts down immediately with little error reported in the Node Manager logs. The Spotfire Server's server.log file shows the following error:

 ### Error updating database. Cause: com.microsoft.sqlserver.jdbc.SQLServerException: The INSERT statement conflicted with the FOREIGN KEY constraint "FK_NODE_ID_EVENT_BUS". The conflict occurred in database "<database name>", table "dbo.NODES", column 'ID'."

The reason for the conflict is that there may be another set of services running where the Spotfire Server / Node Manager names may be the same. This is usually a result of cloning virtual machines when a new environment is to be setup. A workaround is to just shutdown the services on the cloned environment, but a resolution will be to uninstall Spotfire Server / Node on the cloned machines.
