Is not marked as serializable, when opening an analysis.

Problem.

Getting the following error when trying to load an analysts into Spotfire Client.

Unable to read the file ...

TargetInvocationException at Spotfire.Dxp.Framework:

Exception has been thrown by the target of an invocation. (HRESULT: 80131604)

Stack Trace:

at Spotfire.Dxp.Framework.ApplicationModel.ProgressService.ExecuteWithProgressCore(String title, String description, ProgressOperation operation) at Spotfire.Dxp.Forms.WebView.FormsAddDataController.OpenNewDocumentFromLibraryEntry(LibraryEntry libraryEntry)

SerializationException at mscorlib:

Type ‘PerkinElmer.LeadDiscovery.StructureIndex.Data.StructureColumnIndex’ in Assembly ‘PerkinElmer.LeadDiscovery.StructureIndex, Version=8.2.2.388, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=4d95002c27fab778’ is not marked as serializable. (HRESULT: 8013150C)

Resolution.

Check the deployed add-on version (in this case Lead Discovery), is compatible with your version of Spotfire.

In this case the solution was to update to a newer version of Lead Discovery.
