Spotfire: Installing Oracle Driver for Spotfire Data Connector

You will first need to download the Oracle Data Provider for .NET driver

Prerequisites: To access the download, you must have an Oracle account, which you can create on the Oracle website.  

1. In a web browser, go to the Oracle web page.
   Please note at the time of writing only Oracle 11 & 12c ODAC drivers are supported!
   
   

2. Oracle Data Provider for .NET is available as part of the package ODAC OUI. Download the version of ODAC OUI appropriate for your environment.
   
   
   
    

3. When you install ODAC OUI, make the following selections:
   
   1. Select to install the component Oracle Data Provider for .NET.
   
   
   
   2. Select the check box to configure the components at a machine-wide level.
   
   
   
    

4. Restart the System after installation.
