Description
This article explains the purpose, functionality, and configuration steps for the ELN Archive in Signals One. It provides guidance on how administrators and users can utilize the feature for data management, search, and collaboration.
Solution
• The ELN Archive, introduced in Signals One version 24.8, allows for storing and managing collections of experiments and notebooks imported from the legacy ELN system.
• It enables advanced search capabilities, collaboration, and secure data management; additional licensing and setup are required.
• Admins can configure the feature through the following steps:
- Log in to Signals One as an administrator.
- Navigate to the Signals Configuration page.
- Set up Group Associations by creating Attribute Lists and associating them with system groups.
- Assign user privileges to enable access to archive collections.
- Customize search views, e.g., Card view or Table view, for improved navigation.
- Ensure security settings are applied to restrict unauthorized access.
• Users can collaboratively utilize the archive by searching with filters and retrieving stored collections; they can also preview data using features like the Chemical Filter.
• Archived content requires data extraction from E-Notebook using EN Data 2.8, referenced in system resources and the help center with relevant keywords.
• Additional support is available in the Signals Knowledge Base and release notes for version 24.8 or later releases.
