Microsoft has announced an important security update: Starting January 7, 2026, Microsoft Entra will migrate its DigiCert certificates from Global Root G1 to Global Root G2 as part of ongoing security and compliance enhancement

Moving to DigiCert G2 is a part of Microsoft's ongoing efforts to improve security and compliance. These changes should not impact the Signals app. DigiCert is not used by Signals app and the application relies on Amazon Trust Services (ATS) so the mentioned security updates will not affect the Signals app.
