Bulk import Containers with a CSV file in Inventory

Prior to this task:

✔ A Container must be available.

✔ Location must exist.

✔ Container Type must exist in Signals.

*Required.

1️⃣ Inventory ➡ select [Add New] ➡ select [Bulk Import Containers]
2️⃣ Bulk Import Containers ➡ Container Type* ➡ select desired container type
3️⃣ Bulk Import Containers ➡ select [Download Example] ➡ edit the CSV file with container information
4️⃣ Bulk Import Containers ➡ File to Import* ➡ select [Choose File] ➡ select the edited CSV file
5️⃣ Bulk Import Containers ➡ map the Record Field(s) to the Matching Column(s) ➡ select [Import]

Supporting Knowledge

To ensure a successful import, please follow these guidelines:

1. Container Type Consistency: All records in the CSV file must have a single container type.
2. Amount Column: The values in the "Amount" column can be imported with or without a unit specified.
3. Date Format: All dates must conform to one of the formats listed in the dropdown menu. If no time is provided, append " 00:00" to the date and select the format "MM/dd/yyyy HH:mm".
4. Post-Import Review:
   • Once the import is complete, select [View Report] in the lower-left corner to access the list of import reports.
   • In the "Report" column, select [Download] to download and then open the report.
   • Check the "Result" column for any records marked as "FAILED".
   • Refer to the "Message" column for the specific reasons for failure.
5. Re-import Corrections: Update the failed records in a separate CSV file with the corrected values and re-import the updated file.
