Create a Container from a Sample in Signals

Prior to this task:

✔ Experiment with Samples Table must be created.

*Required.

1️⃣ Signals Dashboard ➡ select [Experiments]
2️⃣ Experiments ➡ select experiment
3️⃣ Experiment Contents pane ➡ select ["samples table name"]
4️⃣ Sample Tables section ➡ select   [Row Options] ➡ select Add Containers
5️⃣ Add Containers window ➡ type/select Number of Containers* Description Barcode* ➡ [Auto Generate ] Location* [Set as Home Location] ➡ select Home Location (optional) Container Type* Inventory Security* Amount* other fields depending on the content of the container
6️⃣ Add Containers window ➡ select  [Create Containers]
7️⃣ Add Containers | Print Barcode window ➡ select [Close] OR Select Barcode Format ➡ select [Print Barcode]

Supporting Knowledge

Once created, a hyperlink of the container is added to the Containers column in the Samples Table. Select this hyperlink to show the container in Inventory.

Note: If you are creating more than one Container, from the Add Containers window, select [Next] to select Barcodes; select either Auto Generate or enter a barcode for each Container; then, select [Create Containers].
