Description
Users often need to know which Chromatography Data System (CDS) versions and configuration work with AutoChrom Online.
For details, please refer to Automated (QbD) Method Development Software | AutoChrom® | ACD/Labs.
Solution:
Autochrom needs to be installed where CDS is installed.
Autochrom Online doesn’t work in Citrix environment.
For Waters Empower:
When configuring a project for Waters Alliance instrument, there is no need to declare ByPass. The Wet Prime functionality is built into the instrument and plays a role of ByPass. It is determined by values in the Purging tab of the Operation Settings and viewed as Rinse in the Solvent Delivery System section of the configuration window.
For Waters Acquity systems there are two conditions where ByPass should be considered. If the instrument is configured with the Acquity Column Manager, it has the Waste and ByPass as a part of Valve Position, thus, the user is not required to declare it manually.
If the Acquity Column Manager is absent and we have only Acquity Sample Manager with a cooler/heater for 1 column, we should declare ByPass manually within AutoChrom Configuration Wizard.
- Instrument configuration should not contain clusters.
For Agilent OpenLab CDS:
- When configuring a project for Agilent ChemStation or OpenLab CDS, it is important to always declare ByPass within the AutoChrom Configuration Wizard, especially when screening different columns, solvents, or buffers. If it is not declared manually during configuration, the user will see one of the following messages: Open the purge or Make sure the purge is closed. The message will break the automation process and will not continue until the message is addressed.
- Instrument configuration should not contain clusters.
