Description
Project configuration can be adjusted at any stage. There may come a time when it is necessary to add additional columns, solvents, or samples to the project.
Solution
- In the Instrument Console window, open the Options menu and select Update Configuration.
- Go through each step carefully and apply the required changes.
What Can Be Updated
For a newly created project, you can:
- Add columns, solvents, and samples
- Edit column template settings
- Change the dwell volume
- Adjust the order of sample injection
For an existing project (with some steps already completed), you can:
- Add columns, solvents, and samples
- Change the dwell volume
Important: Completed parts of the project have limitations. Carefully review all warning messages shown during the update process.
Configuration Limitations
- Columns, solvents, and samples cannot be replaced, even in new projects with no data collected.
- Nothing can be deleted from a project.
- To replace a column, add a new column and unselect the old one in the Strategy so it is not used.
Recommended Best Practice
- Use an existing project as a template.
- Create new projects based on the predefined configuration and apply necessary changes.
