AutoChrom: How to update configuration of the project

Description

Project configuration can be adjusted at any stage. There may come a time when it is necessary to add additional columns, solvents, or samples to the project.

Solution

1. In the Instrument Console window, open the Options menu and select Update Configuration.
2. Go through each step carefully and apply the required changes.

What Can Be Updated

For a newly created project, you can:

• Add columns, solvents, and samples
• Edit column template settings
• Change the dwell volume
• Adjust the order of sample injection

For an existing project (with some steps already completed), you can:

• Add columns, solvents, and samples
• Change the dwell volume

Important: Completed parts of the project have limitations. Carefully review all warning messages shown during the update process.

Configuration Limitations

• Columns, solvents, and samples cannot be replaced, even in new projects with no data collected.
• Nothing can be deleted from a project.
• To replace a column, add a new column and unselect the old one in the Strategy so it is not used.

Recommended Best Practice

• Use an existing project as a template.
• Create new projects based on the predefined configuration and apply necessary changes.
