Currently the application has been designed to facilitate easy content editing and updating of items within an open experiment. This feature allows users to make necessary changes during the active phase of an experiment.
Once an experiment reaches a closed or in-review state, the application restricts users from editing or updating the associated contents (e.g., Text, Excel, Word and etc.). This stringent approach is employed to uphold data integrity and prevent any potential misuse or malicious activities, where a user goes back and edits the content of a closed experiment. By disallowing content modifications after closure, we ensure the accuracy and credibility of the experiment's results.
However, in order to make any further changes to the content, users must request to re-open the experiment.
As mentioned in our User Guide > Creating an Experiment > Working with Experiment Menu Icons > Signing Experiments > Signing and Adding Reviewers > Reopening an Experiment, you need to Reopen your experiment first:
You can reopen your experiment for any edits required.
To reopen your experiment:
1. In the Status page, click on Reopen button. Alternatively, you can select Reopen option from the IN REVIEW dropdown list
2. The Reopen page displays. If required, enter a reason why you are reopening your experiment or if configured select a reason from a predefined list.
3. Click Reopen button
After you reopen your experiment, you should be able to modify it.
