Description: A user is unable to create a notebook or experiment because they cannot select a value for a required field, the dropdown menu is blank. Two warnings might be displayed at the bottom of the page:
"You do not have access to the options for this metadata. Please contact your administrator." is displayed in the screen.
"A value is required"
Cause: This can happen when the user is not part of a system group with access to the required fields values. Adding the user to a system group with the correct association will fix the issue.
Solution:
1. Add the user to the appropriate System Group:
1.1. Go to Signals Configuration System Groups
1.2. Open the relevant System Group (e.g., the tenant-wide/system group used for base access)
1.3. Enter new member name…', find the user and click '+' to add
2. Associate the attribute's values to that System Group:
2.1. Go to Signals Configuration Group Associations
2.2. In 'Select a Group', choose the System Group you just updated
2.3. In 'Select a List', choose the attribute
2.4. In 'Search and Select a Value', assign at least one appropriate attribute value to the group
