Signals Notebook: All attribute values are visible to certain users regardless of Group Associations configuration

Problem

Some users can view attribute values even though System Group and Group Associations are configured to restrict access to selected groups only.

Solution

Users experiencing this issue may be assigned a role that includes the "Manage Attributes" permission. Users with this permission can see all attribute values when selecting value(s) for property fields regardless of Group Associations settings.

Steps to Verify

1. Open Signals Configuration as a System Admin.
2. Navigate to the "Users" smart folder.
3. Locate the affected user and note the role(s) assigned to them.
4. Navigate to the "User Roles" smart folder.
5. Open the "Administration" tab.
6. Confirm whether the "Manage Attributes" permission is granted for the roles assigned to the user.
   

If the "Manage Attributes" permission is confirmed, choose one of the following approaches:

1) Remove the "Manage Attributes" permission from the user's existing role. Note that this may affect other users assigned to the same role.
2) Create a new role without the "Manage Attributes" permission and reassign the user to it
