The "Add quick structure search" feature introduced in LDP 3.6 is a separate function from the "Add substructure" feature available in previous versions.
Each feature has different advantages. The main advantage of "Add quick structure search" is its ability to be executed and edited quickly.
Below is a comparison of the features and their key differences.
Feature Comparison
Add substructure search
No need to draw structures manually, as the selected chemical structure is automatically transferred to the Structure search.
Requires adding "Chemistry" to the page in advance (adds an extra step before searching).
Re-execution: A new search condition is added every time it is executed.
Add quick structure search
Allows you to perform structure searches quickly directly from the table. No need to add "Chemistry" to the page beforehand.
Re-execution: If re-executed, the existing search condition is overwritten.
Selected structure is not transferred, so you must draw it yourself.
