Description
Administrators can delete a System Group by navigating to the System Group details page, clicking the Actions button (3-dot menu), and selecting the Delete option.
However, in some cases, when opening a System Group, the 3-dot Action button is missing for certain System Groups. This behavior prevents administrators from deleting a System Group.
Cause
The Action menu is hidden when the System Group is referenced by Security Policy setting.
Reason: When the Action button is visible, deletion of system group is allowed. Deleting a group removes all associated sharing and member settings. These cannot be recovered even if a new group with the same name is created. Therefore, to protect against accidental data loss, the Action button is hidden when the System Group is actively referenced by Security Policy setting.
Solution
If the System Group is not used in a Scrutiny Policy, the Action menu is displayed as expected.
