Signals Notebook: Correcting mistakenly imported fixed values after a material bulk import

Description

A bulk CSV import into the material library populated an incorrect fixed value across newly created records due to a mapping error, this affected hundreds of records making it difficult to correct manually.

Solution 

Perform a Bulk Update using the import report as the source of the data for the incorrect value field. The report contains the system created assets IDs and the original value in the field.

Steps

   1. Log into Signals Notebook as an Administrator.
   2. From the username menu select 'Material Bulk Reports'
   3. Click on Bulk Import and download the report for the problem bulk import 
   4. Navigate to the Material Library e.g. Compounds
   5. Click on 'Actions' and select 'Bulk Update ...'
   6. Click 'Choose File' and upload the import report file
   7. Select the field you wish to update e.g. Chemical Name
   8. Click 'Update'

Note: Is recommended to test and verify results on a small test subset of records before running the full update or in a test tenant when possible.
