Signals Notebook:How to Add a Value to the Internal Reference Field in the Stoichiometry Table Using the API

Description

A request to add a  value to the internal reference column in a stoichiometry table using APIs. The approach uses GET to retrieve the row and field key, then PATCH to set the value. 

Solution

• Identify the target row and field key:
  • Call GET /stoichiometry/{eid} to retrieve stoichiometry data.
  • Locate the desired row and note its rowid.
  • Identify the UUID key corresponding to the 'Experiment Ref' field.
   
• Update the field value:
  • Call PATCH /stoichiometry/{eid}/{rowid}?force=true (include other query params as needed).
  • Use a request body with the field UUID mapped to the desired experiment reference value, for example:
  

- Notes:
• The 'user' attribute in the payload is optional; omitting it still updates the value.
• This method supports adding a fresh value to a previously blank field.
