Why do I get the following error when updating Signals VitroVivo? “ Initialization failed. The application is not set up correctly. It will now terminate”

Problem:

After updating Signals VitroVivo, spotfire Analyst crashes with below error message:

Error message: Initialization failed.  The application is not set up correctly.  It will now terminate.

ApplicationSetupException at Spotfire.Dxp.Framework:

Failed to register extension. (HRESULT: 80131500)

Solution:

This problem occurs because Signals Inventa and Lead Discovery premium are not installed.  Once Signals Inventa and Lead Discovery premium are installed, you can Validate and Save the deployment area. Please go to the Downloads section of this site to obtain the installer or speak to your local Admin about getting it installed.
