ChemDraw: When I attempt to open ChemDraw I get two error messages.

When I attempt to open ChemDraw I get two error messages. The first says: "Error Starting Program MSVCP60.DLL is linked to missing export MSVCRT.DLL:_lc_collate_cp." The second one says: "C:\Program Files\ChemOffice2001\ChemDraw\ChemDraw.exe A device attached to the system is not working."

Solution:

  1. Uninstall ChemDraw using the Add/Remove control panel, then restart your computer.

  2. Do a Find File for MSVCP60.DLL. When you find it, rename it to MSVCP60.OLD.

  3. Reinstall ChemDraw and launch.
