ChemDraw: I am trying to copy a structure in a Word document and paste it into ChemDraw so that I can edit it.

I am trying to copy a structure in a Word (or word processing) document and paste it into ChemDraw so that I can edit it. After copying the structure in Word, I go into ChemDraw, but it does not paste the structure.

You may be selecting the structure in the Word document incorrectly. Rather than dragging the cursor over the structure, you need to single click on the structure. After single clicking on the structure in Word, a border should appear around the structure. This border should have small black boxes (resize handles) on it. This indicates that you have selected the structure correctly. Now choose Copy in Word, and Paste in ChemDraw.
