Problem:
How to start Node Manager service using Command line
Solution:
This article can be helpful if you want to start and stop the Node Manager service via the command line.
In version 7.9 and below:1) On the Node Manager machine, open a 'Command Prompt' in Administrator mode.
2) Browse to the directory "Node Manager Installation Directory\<Node Manager Version>\nm".
3) To stop the service, type the command "prunsrv.exe stop WpNmRemoteXXX" e.g. for 7.7 "prunsrv.exe stop WpNmRemote770".
4) To start the service, type the command "prunsrv.exe start WpNmRemoteXXX" e.g. for 7.7 "prunsrv.exe start WpNmRemote770".
In version 7.10 and above:
1) On the Node Manager machine, open a 'Command Prompt' in Administrator mode.
2) Browse to the directory "<Node Manager Installation Directory>\<Node Manager Version>\nm".
3) To stop the service, type the command "winsw.exe stop WpNmRemoteXXX" e.g. for 7.11 "winsw.exe stop WpNmRemote7110".
4) To start the service, type the command "winsw.exe start WpNmRemoteXXX" e.g. for 7.11 "winsw.exe start WpNmRemote7110".
NOTE: You can find the exact service id for WpNmRemoteXXX in the <Node Manager Installation Directory>\<Node Manager Version>\nm\winsw.xml file or from the "TIBCO Spotfire Node Manager" service>>Properties as shown in the screenshot below
