Problem:

Crash in ucrtbase.dll for all versions of Spotfire after Windows update


Solution:

When running Spotfire on a Windows 10 machine, you occasionally can get a crash with the following error in the Windows application log:

  This is due to an issue in Windows 10 that was introduced in a Windows update.
This has been fixed in TIBCO Spotfire 10.2 and later versions. TIBCO Defect ID: TS-56165
