ChemDraw ChemFinder: The database is not in the order I expect

The database is not in the order I expect. If I go to the last record in the database, it is not the last record I input.

The Mol_ID field is only guaranteed to be unique. It is never guaranteed to be in any particular order. This field is used by ChemFinder to dtermine where the structure information is stored in the MSI/MST files. The Mol_ID field should not be used as your own ID field. Instead, you should create a separate ID field that you can have complete control over. To change the sorting, right click on the field you want to sort on and choose the Sort option. Once the database is in the desired order, you can export the database as an SD File, and then import (choosing the Replace option) the SD File back in.
