TIBCO Spotfire Statistics Services (TSSS) installation may fail with the following error :

Unable to execute the desired program. Please get another copy of the installer and try again.

This error can be caused if a security application on the computer, such as anti-virus scanning, is blocking the installation process. To resolve, ensure to make necessary exceptions in the security application, to exclude both the target TSSS installation folder and the directory where the installer is being run.
