In some cases, chemical structures tend to be large, so one option for improving the visualization of these chemical materials within chemical drawings is to replace the structure with a label. Below you will find a step-by-step guide on how to perform this substitution.
Draw your chemical structure.
Select the chemical structure. Be careful not to select the number under the structure, as this will lock the structure and you will not be able to perform this method.
Place the cursor over the chemical structure and click on “Contract label”.
A menu will open where you can enter your label. Enter the desired name.
Click on "Ok"
You will see that the new label will maintain the properties of the chemical drawing, so the only change is the representation within the chemical drawing.
One advantage of this method is that it is a reversible process, so if you want to see the original chemical structure again, simply select the label, place the cursor over the label, and select the “Expand label” option.
