Description
This article provides guidance and limitations on searching from ELN Archive data source in Signals Notebook, including tips for effective searching.
E-Notebook data is viewable from Signals in read-only mode if the ELN archive is configured and enabled for the tenant by performing a search in Signals Notebook.
However, there is a known limitation when searching E-Notebook archived data in Signals Notebook: Filtering by relationship (“Child” & “Parent”) is not supported for collections with multi-level hierarchy sections. This means that collections with multi-level hierarchy sections will not appear in search results when using these filters.
Solution
To retrieve collections with multi-level hierarchy sections in ELN Archive advanced search, follow these steps:
- To search for a specific Collection Type:
- Log in to Signals Notebook.
- Navigate to the Search page by clicking on the Search button.
- Select "ELN Archive" data source from the dropdown list available in the search page.
Filter with Type = Collection, and Collection Type is checked a specified collection type in the listed collection type, set relationship = "Self"
- The collections of this kind of collection type are retrieved.
- To search for all Collection Types:
In the listed collection type, check all the collection type.
- All collections of all the collection types can be retrieved.
