If you need to remove devices/release consumed licenses for any of the following reasons:
- duplicate entries that are consuming licenses
- permanently remove devices that are no longer permitted licenses (i.e. lost or stolen equipment, block unauthorized use)
- equipment is being disposed of or license needs to be transferred to another device
you can now do this on your own as the Account Administrator for your organization in the Download Center.
To free up licenses (scenario 1 and 3 above) you can Search for the Device from the Device page
select the device and use Obsolete Device from the Actions Menu.
This option will free the current license and allow the device to consume a license in the future.
To permanently remove a device (scenario 2 ) and prevent the device from using licenses in the future, or if a device has been previously marked as "Returned" and you need to make it a licensable device again; please reach out to support for assistance.
