Signals Notebook: Is it possible to register a compound containing a salt without including a salt coefficient

Compound materials are widely used in Signals Notebook. However, is it possible to register a compound that includes a salt but does not contain a salt coefficient?

Answer: No, by design, when registering a compound and adding a salt, Signals Notebook will also request that you include a salt coefficient. If you perform this process within an individual material record, you will receive the error “Invalid coefficient”.

If you attempt to bulk import compounds, add a salt, and do not add a salt coefficient, the bulk import will fail, and the failure report will show the following reason for failure: “Fail to import indicating that no coefficient was provided for the salt”.
