Description
After extensive customization of toolbars and windows, Spectrus may appear cluttered or certain tools may be hidden. Users may want to reset the interface back to the factory default layout and toolbars.
Solution
- Close all data documents in Spectrus so only the main window remains.
- Look for a menu item such as View > Toolbars > Reset or View > Reset Layout (exact name may vary by version/module).
- If such a command is available:
- Click Reset and confirm any prompt to restore default toolbars and panel positions.
- If no direct menu option is present:
- Close Spectrus.
- Delete or rename the user layout configuration file or remove the associated registry keys. Typical locations might include:
- %APPDATA%\Advanced Chemistry Development\Spectrus\Layouts
- Registry under
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Advanced Chemistry Development (ACD)\Spectrus_20xx\…\Layout (Unable to find this exact key in registry; maybe UserLayouts?)
- (Perform this step only if you are comfortable editing files/registry or with IT assistance.)
- Restart Spectrus.
- The application recreates default layout settings.
Re‑enable any optional toolbars/panels by going to View > Toolbars or View > Panels.
