Description
After importing NMR data from vendor formats into Spectrus, some peaks may appear missing, clipped, or distorted compared with the vendor software. Causes include importing the wrong file (processed vs raw), unsupported processing parameters, or over‑aggressive processing (apodization, baseline, zero‑filling).
Solution
- Confirm file selection:
- Re‑import the dataset, ensuring you select the correct raw FID (or main vendor dataset folder), not only an already processed spectrum image.
- Check vendor support:
- Verify that your Spectrus version supports this vendor format/version (see product documentation or release notes).
- Reprocess from the FID:
- In Spectrus, apply standard processing in this order:
- Zero‑filling (optional).
- Mild apodization (small exponential line broadening).
- Fourier transform.
- Phase correction.
- Baseline correction.
- In Spectrus, apply standard processing in this order:
- Inspect dynamic range:
- Check whether very strong peaks may be saturating and masking weaker peaks.
- If necessary, adjust vertical scaling or use expanded views.
- Compare with vendor software:
- Ensure reference, spectral width, and number of points match.
- If issues remain:
- Test with another dataset from the same instrument to see if behavior is consistent.
- Contact Support team and provide anonymized example files for technical review.
