Description
A specific workstation cannot import xC/UV/MS vendor files that import correctly on other machines with the same Spectrus version. The user may see “unknown format”, partial import, or low‑level errors, while colleagues can open the same data without problems.
Solution
- Compare Spectrus versions and components
- Confirm the problem workstation runs the same Spectrus version and edition as the working ones.
- Check whether the mass‑spectrometry or vendor filter modules are missing or not installed.
- Reinstall or repair Spectrus with MS filters
- Run the installer/maintenance utility on the affected workstation.
- Ensure all required vendor data filters (for your instrument vendor and version) are selected.
- Complete the repair or reinstall and reboot if required.
- Rule out file access issues
- Copy one problematic vendor dataset locally to the workstation (e.g., from network share to a local disk).
- Try importing from the local path to exclude network path or permission problems.
