Spectrus: Column Selection, Column Comparison, and LC Method Transfer Assistant are missing from the Tools menu.

QbD tools are not accessible from Tools menu in Spectrus Processor

• LC Method Transfer Assistant
• LC Columns Comparison
• LC Columns Selection

After installation, users do not see these QbD tools under the Tools menu.

Solution

There are two solutions to this issue.

1. Delete GRASST.XML file

Admin rights are needed.

Make sure all the ACDLabs programs are closed.

Via File Explorer, go to %AppData%\Advanced Chemistry Development\ACDScriptConfig.

In the opened folder locate and delete the grasst.xml file.

 Start Spectrus Processor again and check the Tools menu.

2. Use Macro Organizer

Regular MSS users can do it.

Launch Spectrus Processor.

Click the Organizer button:

or from the File menu choose Macro > Organizer…

In the Macro Organizer window that appears, specify ANY Type and click Add...

Navigate to the ACDLabs installation folder, the following location: \\ACD64\EXAMPLES\SPECTRUS\CHROM\SCRIPTS and perform the same procedure to add 3 QbD tools.

For LC Column Comparison:

Select the COL_COMPARE.FSBIN and click Open.

A new script with default name is added:

In the Name field, type a new name for the script: LC Column Comparison.

Perform all 6 steps mentioned above to see a new line in the list:

Click Add.. again, select the QBD_COLSEL.FSBIN file, and click Open.

Perform the same procedure and click OK.

And one more time click Add.. and bring in the GRASST.FSBIN file.

Click OK twice to close Scripts/Macro Location and Macro Organizer windows and check the Tools menu in Spectrus Processor.
