Description
After importing LC data into Spectrus, the chromatogram may appear without peaks even though clear signals are visible in the vendor software. This typically occurs when a non‑analytical channel (for example, system pressure or a diagnostic trace) is selected instead of the primary UV or MS signal during import.
Solution
To resolve the issue, reimport the dataset into Spectrus Processor and review the available channels in the Import dialog. For example:
When checking the channels, look for:
- Primary DAD/UV channels (e.g., 220 nm, 254 nm)
- TIC or XIC for mass spectrometry (MS)
- Non-signal traces, such as system pressure, pump %B, and similar
Switch to the correct analytical channel:
- Choose the main UV channel or TIC as the active chromatogram
The chromatogram display should update to show the actual peaks
