Description
Starting with Harmony version 5.3.x, additional data transfer options are available. One of these options allows users to move data from Harmony to Image Artist. When the Move function is used, the selected data is transferred to Image Artist and subsequently removed from Harmony. If a dataset is moved unintentionally or in error, it can be re-imported from Image Artist back into Harmony.
Prerequisites:
- Harmony 5.3.1 or later
- ImA 1.5.1 with ImA Loader 1.5.0+56 or later (for data export/download from Image Artist)
Note - Importing data into Harmony 5.3.1 is not supported if it was originally transferred to Image Artist using a Harmony version earlier than 5.3.1.
Solution
- Using the ImA Loader, export the required dataset(s) (including images) to a location accessible by the Harmony PC. The dataset will be exported to a folder which contains a dataset directory with the format dataset-<UUID> e.g. dataset-a69568a3-b14f-4d20-b962-b08106156ea0
- On the Harmony PC, launch Harmony and log in
- From the Settings menu go to Data Management and then choose Import Harmony data
- For the Source/Source store field, select the dataset folder e.g. dataset-a69568a3-b14f-4d20-b962-b08106156ea0. Parent directories will not be recognised as being in the appropriate HS (Harmony Store) format.
- Select the appropriate Primary Store that you wish to import the data back to
- Click OK and monitor the job via the Harmony Job Status page.
Note - Re‑importing data that already exists in the Primary Store will overwrite it (not duplicate it) without any on‑screen confirmation. Use the Date Modified field in the Primary Store location itself to confirm the update.
