Description
When viewing an MS2 spectrum from Spectrus DB or Spectrus Processor, different users may see the same spectrum displayed differently. Some users may see a clearly resolved spectrum or stick representation of spectrum, while others may see broad signals in spectrum or profile-representation of spectrum. This behavior is typically related to Draw (Display) options in Spectrus DB and LC/UV/MS Preferences in Spectrus Processor.
Solution
To see the stick representation of mass spectrum in Spectrus Processor, follow these steps:
- From the Options menu, choose MS Preferences... if you work with MS spectrum, or click LC/UV/MS Preferences if you work with LC/UV/MS data.
- In the appeared Preferences dialog box, go to Mass tab, and in the Spectrum Plotting section, select Stick.
- Click Apply.
To see the stick representation of mass spectrum in Spectrus DB, follow these steps:
- Click Draw Options... button in the spectrum window where your MS spectrum is displayed. Please note that this button may not be visible in the Spectrum window. In this case, click the arrow down button and click Draw Options...
- Click the New... button in the Manage View Templates (MASS) dialog box.
- In the ACD/Mass Spectrum Template dialog box that appears, select Stick in the Spectrum Plotting section on the Spectrum tab, then click OK.
- Enter a name for the template and click OK.
- Select the line with created template and click OK.
