Signals Notebook: Set up the workflow for signing Experiments from the Signals Configuration

For Administrators only.

1️⃣ Signals Configuration ➡ select [System Objects]
2️⃣ System Objects ➡ select Experiment
3️⃣ Experiment Settings pane ➡ select Workflows ➡ select Signing Experiments
4️⃣ Workflows – Signing Experiments section ➡ select/deselect options
5️⃣ Workflows – Signing Experiments section ➡ select [Save Settings]

Available Signing Actions:

• Prompt all users for their password before signing: To mandatory prompt the users to confirm their identities by entering their Signals Notebook credentials before completing the signing process.
• Require compliance completion before signing: To mandatory let users run the CRAIS checker before signing experiments.
• Require compliance pass before signing: To avoid users from signing experiments if the CRAIS checker shows any irregularity.
• Require chemical samples to match the originating reactants or products before signing: To notify and avoid the users from signing an experiment when the reactant or product used to create a sample has changed.
• Require chemical samples to match entries in the Material Library or an external database before signing: To notify and avoid the users from signing an experiment when the reactant or product used to create a sample has changed in a Material Library/external database.
• Allow sign and add reviewers: To enable the Sign and Add Reviewers signature option.
• Allow sign and keep open: To enable the Sign and Keep Open signature option.
• Allow void: To enable the Void signature option.
• Allow sign and close without witnessing: To enable the Sign and Close signature option.
• Allow Two Stage Review: To enable the two-stage review feature.
  • Use this signing statement text field: Add statement to display while signing/Keep the default one.
• Allow close without signing: To enable the Close option.
• Allow add reviewers and keep open: To enable the Add Reviewers and Keep Open signature option.

Note: The settings under Signing Comment Settings can be applied to Sign, Sign and Close and Sign for Review and the admin can add separate comments for each status.
