Sometimes we want to perform a search, but we only remember a fraction of the name of the object we want to find. Is there a way to use wildcards in Signals Notebook?
Solution: Yes, it is possible to use wildcards on signals notebook.
To use a wildcard in Signals Notebook, you must enter the initial fraction of the object name you remember, followed by a *. For example, if you want to search for the object "exp010203", in the search engine, you can type "exp010*" and you will get as result all the objects that match with initial text "exp010".
Note: This wildcard will only function as a suffix, a Leading Wildcard is a limitation of elastic search (which SNB uses). Therefore, in Signals Notebook you cannot use a wildcard as a prefix.
You can find this documented in the Help Center - Signals One & Signals Notebook > Create and Record > Searching in Signals Notebook > Quick Find.
