Create a Components table from the Signals Configuration

For Administrators only.

Prior to this task:

✔ Variations Table template must be created.

1️⃣ Signals Configuration ➡ select [Table Templates]
2️⃣ Table Templates ➡ select variations table template
3️⃣ Variations table template ➡ select Table ➡ select [Components]
4️⃣ Variations table template ➡ Columns ➡ select [Add Column]†
5️⃣ Variations table template ➡ Columns ➡ type/select Column Name* Type Read Only Hidden by Default Always Shown Clear value when element is copy-pasted Add instructional data on hover ➡ enter instructional text
6️⃣ Variations table template ➡ select Headers ➡ select [Add Header]
7️⃣ Variations table template ➡ Headers ➡ type/select Header Name* Type Read Only Clear value when element is copy-pasted Add instructional data on hover ➡ enter instructional text
8️⃣ Variations table template ➡ select [Preview] ➡ select [Test It Out]
9️⃣ Variations table template ➡ select [Save]

Supporting Knowledge

†The Internal Data Source fields that were added to the template when it was created will be available as predefined columns.

Notes:

• The Components table defines master properties, that is, properties that will remain constant.
• Internal Reference column types can be limited to only return entities in the same Experiment.
• To limit Internal Reference columns for Materials to only the Materials already referred to in the Materials Tables in the Experiment or ADO, select the setting Limit Materials to same containing entity (Experiment, ADO...).
• Administrators can fix the column width and allow wrapping of the table headers in the Horizontal Summary view.
