Problem:
In versions prior to Lead Discovery Premium (LDP) 3.4, it was necessary to configure ScriptSync to dynamically pull in data function definitions from a GitHub repository to use LDP data functions. This mechanism, however, caused issues for users whose companies did not allow access to GitHub repositories from the Spotfire application.
Resolution:
Starting with LDP 3.4, data function definitions will be built into the software, and the GitHub repository will no longer be updated with new definitions. This means that ScriptSync should no longer be used.
Spotfire administrators can disable configurations related to ScriptSync to avoid unnecessary connections to GitHub repositories. The following article contains instructions on how to configure ScriptSync; administrators should do the opposite to revert the settings to their original values and disable it.
