ChemDraw: "Unable to parse the InChI string, unexpected character" error when using Paste Special InChI option.

To prevent this error, make sure to use the prefix InChI along with the value (i.e., InChI=.......)

eg:

Incorrect:

1S/C6H6O/c7-6-4-2-1-3-5-6/h1-5,7H
1S/C13H12/c1-3-7-12(8-4-1)11-13-9-5-2-6-10-13/h1-10H,11H2

Correct:

InChI=1S/C6H6O/c7-6-4-2-1-3-5-6/h1-5,7H
