ChemSketch: How to change the alignment/justification for a group of atoms or double bond

Description

ChemSketch lets you adjust how atom groups (e.g., CH₃, NH₂) and double bonds are positioned relative to the main skeleton. This is useful to improve readability, avoid overlaps, or meet a specific drawing style.

Solution

1.  Choose Structure mode and from the structure toolbar enable Change Position .
2. For a group of atoms: click on the atom group to change the position of the atoms. For example, hydrogens can be placed to the left, right, above or below a carbon atom.
3. For a double bond: click on the double bond to cycle between the 3 display modes: left, right, and centered.
