Description
ChemSketch predicts density using an internal model that assumes a standard temperature. Understanding this assumption is important when comparing predicted densities with experimental data.
Solution
A temperature of 20°C is used for density prediction. ChemSketch uses the following definition to predict density:
Density = Mw / Mv
where Mw is the molecular weight, and Mv is the predicted molar volume. All properties for liquids are calculated at 20°C.
