Installation: Installing Spectrus and Percepta Desktop Software in a Citrix Environment: General Guidelines

Description

Officially, we do not support Citrix environments, but many of our customers have successfully deployed the software in Citrix setups.

Solution

Here is the general guidance based on those deployments:

1. Licenses are issued as Named Users and managed in License Server mode.
2. The License Server must be installed and configured first, with all usernames added. It must be installed outside of the Citrix environment and run 24/7. But there are exceptions.
3. The software is then installed on the Citrix server(s) and configured to point to the License Server.
4. Certain applications need to be published. For example, for the Method Selection Suite package, we recommend publishing SPECTRUS.exe and LC.exe, labeled as Spectrus and LC Simulator, respectively.
5. End users should test access by launching the published icons to ensure the software starts correctly.
