Activation: ‘Cannot unpack response’ message during manual activation

Description
When attempting manual activation, the user receives a “cannot unpack response” error.

Solution
A common issue is that Registration keys are mistakenly used to activate the software. These keys are intended for installation only.

To complete the activation, the user must enter the activation response key when prompted during the activation process.
