Description
When exporting tables from Luminata IRM to Microsoft Word using the Export to MS Word command (available in the shortcut menus of Luminata subwindows such as Luminata Batch Impurities Table, Luminata Search Results, or Luminata Compound Relations Table), embedded chemical structures may render incompletely or appear truncated within table cells. The behavior has been reproduced and is under investigation. Multiple temporary workarounds can mitigate the issue.
Solution
The following temporary measures can help mitigate the issue:
- Adjust Windows Display Scaling Change the Windows display scaling setting from 100% to an alternative value (e.g., 125% or 150%). After applying the change, re-export the table to Word and review the document for improved structure rendering.
- Reduce Table Density Before Export In Luminata, use the Setup Columns command (available in the shortcut menu) to remove non-essential columns from the table prior to export. This provides more space for structures within the Word document .
- Manually Resize Structures in Word After export, open the Word document and select each embedded structure object within the table cells. Manually resize the objects to fit the column width.
- Upgrade Luminata If possible, update Luminata to the latest available release. A fix for this issue may be included in newer versions.
- Monitor Release Notes Track Luminata product release notes for updates on the formal resolution of this issue.
Note: The Export to MS Word command is available in Luminata’s right-click shortcut menus for most subwindows, including Batch Impurities, Search Results, Compound Relations, and others. The behavior described here applies to all such exports where chemical structures are embedded as objects
