Is it possible to change the Measurement Type name? And are there restrictions?

I would like to change a Measurement Type name in Signals Inventa. Is this possible? Are there restrictions?

Generally, it is considered best practice to not change the Measurement Type name after it has been created.  If in rare case this must be done, please be advised that it can only be done safely until it has been referenced by a map.

Once it has been referenced by a map, changes to the measurement type name will require the user to update any maps affected, and also then reload the projects impacted, which could prove to be a big endeavour.

The following is a table (found in the Signals Inventa 3.1 user guide) shows naming restrictions for Measurement Type Names:

This information is current for Signals Inventa 3.1. It is under consideration to allow modification of the Measurement Type Name as an enhancement request, but there is no timeline or confirmation that this functionality will be implemented at this time.
