Work Orders enable secure transfer of critical information to CROs and are prioritizable and searchable. Once a Work Order is created by a Sponsor, it appears in the Work Queue, where CRO Managers and CRO Users can see which Work Orders have been assigned to their department.
In addition to the classic view modes, Work Orders support a [Board View] and
[Expanded View] in the kanban board to simplify project management for both the Sponsor and the CRO.
The Expanded View shows a preview of the first chemical drawing in the Work Order. If no chemical drawing exists, a preview of the first Reference Table that has a shared structure will be displayed.
The color and icon of each Work Order indicates the Work Type, and color-coded categories quickly identify the type of assay or service that has been requested.
The status is shown in the bottom right corner of the Work Order card, and the Group by dropdown can be used to reorder the cards by priority and due date. The [Column custom] icon can be used to show or hide various columns. A Smart Filters panel is provided by default and may be customized to refine which Work Orders are displayed.
Select the Work Order name to navigate to its corresponding page and view its associated details. The Work Order is read-only for CROs except in the following circumstances:
- A CRO Manager may Accept or Decline the Work Order using the respective buttons, which notifies the Sponsor whether the Work Order has been accepted or rejected.
- A CRO Manager may assign a CRO User to the Work Order and preview the Synergy Experiment.
Note: If a Work Order is in the To Do state but has not yet been accepted by the CRO Department Manager, CRO Users will see the following message displayed: "Pending acceptance by the CRO Department Manager. Once accepted, you can start work on the Synergy Experiment."
Once the Work Order has been accepted and assigned, the CRO may select [Start Work], creating a link to the editable Synergy Experiment, automatically setting the Work Order status to In Progress.
If the Work Order contains a Reference Table, the CRO User may optionally download the table in SDF or CSV format as a local file using the download icon. If the Reference Table includes a shared chemical or design structure, the structure for each row is included in each file type as follows:
- SDF: preserve stereochemistry
- CSV: SMILES
