Description
This article explains how to backup your experiment.
Solution
- What backups contain:
- A snapshot of the experiment’s configuration and associated data at the time the backup was created (subject to product version capabilities).
- When backups are created:
- Typically, during key operations such as export or significant structural changes (depending on configuration and version).
- Some environments may also schedule backups or allow manual backup creation.
- Using backups:
- Go to User menu → Experiment Backups to open the Export/Backup Manager.
- Locate the desired experiment ID and backup timestamp.
- Use “Load Backup” to restore the experiment state from that point in time.
- Best practices:
- Only restore backups when it is clear that the current experiment state is corrupted or unusable.
- Consider cloning the experiment after restore if you want to preserve both old and new versions.
- Coordinate restores with administrators to avoid confusion in multi‑user environments.
