• What backups contain:
  • A snapshot of the experiment’s configuration and associated data at the time the backup was created (subject to product version capabilities).
• When backups are created:
  • Typically, during key operations such as export or significant structural changes (depending on configuration and version).
  • Some environments may also schedule backups or allow manual backup creation.
• Using backups:
  • Go to User menu → Experiment Backups to open the Export/Backup Manager.
  • Locate the desired experiment ID and backup timestamp.
  • Use “Load Backup” to restore the experiment state from that point in time.
• Best practices:
  • Only restore backups when it is clear that the current experiment state is corrupted or unusable.
  • Consider cloning the experiment after restore if you want to preserve both old and new versions.
  • Coordinate restores with administrators to avoid confusion in multi‑user environments.
