Description
- After uploading analytical data and running a sweep, most wells show attached data in the Analysis Workspace.
- Some well missing data, remain empty or show no chromatograms/spectra.
- The raw data exists on disk and appears valid in the instrument software.
Solution
- Verify naming/ID mapping:
- Check that the raw data file names (or sample names) for missing wells contain the correct KAT IDs, plate IDs, or well identifiers expected by Katalyst.
- Compare against the experiment’s sequence file or plate layout.
- Inspect sweep logs:
- Look for messages indicating skipped samples, missing ID mapping, or mismatched plate definitions.
- Potentially, network connectivity issues interrupted the process. Re‑run sweep or reprocessing for the affected data.
- If data is being scanned from instrument to the Katalyst Scan folder, by third party software like Syncovery, or by an Automation Server, appropriate wait times need to be configured. Otherwise the Katalyst Automation server may start scanning datasets, before they are transferred to Scan folder, thus missing them. This would show as sporadic data uploads in the web app. Some wells attached data, others did not.
- Confirm all wells that should have data now show attached analytical runs.
