Katalyst: Enabling untargeted LCMS analysis for Agilent instruments

Description

• Users are acquiring LCMS data from Agilent instruments and viewing mass data in Katalyst, but untargeted analysis is not active.
• The requested change is limited to Spectrus DB instrument configuration; no Katalyst downtime is required.

Solution

• In Spectrus DB, locate the instrument record (in the instrument record set) that defines initial data processing settings for the relevant Agilent LCMS data.
• Enable untargeted LCMS analysis in that instrument configuration:
  • Turn on untargeted processing for the Agilent LCMS data source.
  • Adjust any default processing parameters as required (e.g., TIC integration, peak picking parameters).
• Save the updated instrument configuration; this change is applied through Spectrus DB and does not require a Katalyst application or platform update.
